Trail Through Time is a 1.5-mile loop hike in the McInnis Canyons National Conservation Area near Mack, Colorado, centered on exposed dinosaur fossils. The trail serves as an interpretive path through a desert setting, allowing hikers to view 140-million-year-old fossils in their natural context before excavation. Informative plaques and kiosks explain the significance of the finds, including the numerous dinosaur species recovered from the nearby Rabbit Valley fossil quarry. The area is designated as an Area of Critical Environmental Concern. The route offers views of the LaSal Mountain Range and Rabbit Valley. It is suitable for fall hiking, typically from September through November, and is generally considered an easy to moderate loop that takes about two hours to complete.
