The Twin Buttes Full Loop is a moderate 8.6-mile mountain biking trail located just west of downtown Durango, Colorado. The trailhead is situated off Highway 160 in a dirt parking lot near the Speedway gas station. Riders begin with an immediate climb that transitions into modern, intermediate-friendly singletrack characterized by swoopy turns and chunky sections. The route includes technical ascents, such as the Upper Twin Buttes Trail, and descents like Ed & Flo. The loop offers views of the Hogsback and Perins Peak. Parking is available, and pets are permitted. The trail system allows Class One e-bikes. Seasonal access runs from April through October, with potential closures for wintering wildlife from December 1 to April 30. The typical ride duration is approximately two hours.
