Washington Gulch is a moderate hiking trail in the Gunnison National Forest near Crested Butte, Colorado. The trail runs approximately 1.5 miles along Rock Creek before climbing southeast to intersect Washington Gulch Road (FSR #811). The route offers views of aspen groves, wildflower meadows, and mountain ridges between Gothic Mountain and Mount Baldy. The trailhead is located a quarter mile north of the Gothic Campground on CR 317, with an alternative access point on Washington Gulch Road. Parking is available at the trailhead. The hike typically takes about 2 hours to complete and is rated moderate due to some inclines and switchbacks. The trail is open from September through November, making it suitable for fall hiking when aspen colors are visible. Pets are permitted on the trail.
