If you are parking at Apple Valley Park, this is an alternative route to the steep, paved, climb up Pan American Entry to the trailhead. Just hike through the park to the southeast corner and follow the trail out to Minnesota Ave. The pavement will end and you'll climb a short hill into the Hawks Haven subdivision. The road will split and you'll take a left to the top where you'll find the trailhead. Thanks for parking at Apple Valley Park. This really helps us with PR with the residents of the Pan American subdivision.
