The National Weather Service in Grand Junction has issued a

•Severe Thunderstorm Warning for...

Central Garfield County in west central Colorado...

•Until 900 PM MDT.

•At 834 PM MDT, a severe thunderstorm was located 10 miles northwest

of Rifle, or 30 miles west of Glenwood Springs, moving east at 40 mph.

HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect wind damage to roofs, siding, and trees.

•This severe thunderstorm will remain over mainly rural areas of

central Garfield County.
