At 1138 AM MDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm 10 miles northwest of Cortez, or 42 miles east of Blanding, moving northeast at 30 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts 40 TO 45 mph and pea size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is possible.

Locations impacted include... Cortez, Dolores, Lebanon, Towaoc, Stoner, Lewis, Arriola, and Yellow Jacket.

This includes the following highways... U.S. Highway 491 in Colorado between mile markers 27 and 45. U.S. Highway 160 in Colorado between mile markers 24 and 42. Colorado 145 between mile markers 1 and 27.
