This year marks the 25th anniversary of the Western Colorado Senior Games, which will take place Aug. 17-23, 2026. This highly anticipated event invites adults aged 50+ to participate in a weeklong competition featuring a variety of games and activities held at parks and recreation facilities throughout the city. Early bird registration, which includes a commemorative T-shirt, ends Friday, July 24, at 5 p.m. Final registration remains open through Aug. 7 at 5 p.m.
Participants can look forward to events including basketball, billiards, horseshoes, pickleball, a 5K walk or run and more. The City is also partnering again with Fruita Parks and Recreation to host disc golf. A staple in the community for more than two decades, the Western Colorado Senior Games is renowned for fostering friendly competition and camaraderie among older adults.
