The meeting of the Town Council was called to order by Mayor Pro Tern Scott Pearson at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday,
January 28, 2026. The meeting was held in person -with virtual access provided through Zoom.

Election of Mayor and Mayor Pro Tern (3)

On a MOTION by Huascar E. Gomez (Rick) and seconded by Harvey Mogenson, Council voted unanimously to
elect Scott Pearson to the position of Mayor. Mayor Scott Pearson presided. On a MOTION by Scott Pearson and
seconded by Pete Duprey, Council voted unanimously to elect Tucker Magid to the position of Mayor Pro Tern.
Administration of Oath of Office ( 4)
Susan Johnston administered the oaths of office to newly elected Mayor, Scott Pearson and Mayor Pro Tern, Tucker
Magid.
Update on Economic Recovery Efforts (5)
Business Development Manager Molly Norton, Finance Director Lizbeth Lemley, and Executive Director of
Telluride Tourism Board Kiera Skinner presented.
Public comment was received by Richard Thorpe, and Jolana Vanek
Mountain Village Investigation Update (6)
Mayor Scott Pearson and Assistant Town Attorney Haley Carmer presented.

Executive Session for the Purpose of (7):
a. Receiving Legal Advice Under C.R.S. 24-6-402(4)(b), Speci.ficaUy Regarding Colorado Open
Records Act Procedwes and Requirements
On a MOTION by Alline Arguelles and seconded by Harvey Mogenson, Council voted unanimously to move into
Executive Session at 6:30 p.m. for the purpose of:
a. Receiving Legal Advice Under C.R.S. 24-6-402(4)(b), Specifically Regarding Colorado Open
Records Act Procedwes and Requirements
The meeting was adjourned at 8:00 p.m.
