Grand Junction, CO – On June 25, 2026, at approximately 12:30pm, officers with the Grand Junction Police Department were dispatched to a report of a road rage incident in the area of 25 Road and Patterson Road.
The reporting party stated that, while stopped at a stoplight at the intersection, two males got out of separate vehicles and engaged in a physical altercation. Based on license plate numbers provided by witnesses on scene, officers determined that one of the vehicles reported to be involved in the incident was reported stolen. The subjects involved in the altercation left the scene prior to officers’ arrival.
At approximately 2:00pm, officers with the Grand Junction Police Department located the stolen vehicle driving in the area of S. 3rd Street and Pitkin Avenue. A high-risk stop was conducted and the driver and passenger in the vehicle were detained without incident. Following an investigation, the driver of the vehicle, Johnny Granados, age 45, of Fort Collins, was arrested and remanded to the Mesa County Jail on the following charges:
DUI
Disorderly Conduct
Driving while Revoked
Protection Order Violation
Possession of a Stolen Vehicle
The passenger of the vehicle was released on a summons for Disorderly Conduct.
