Projects Affecting Traffic for the Week of September 7, 2026

City of Grand Junction Projects with Travel Restrictions

Crosby Avenue Improvements Project

  • Crosby Ave. will be closed between W. Main St. and American Way.

  • Business and local traffic access will be maintained.

  • Follow all posted detour signs, traffic control devices, and directions from traffic control personnel.

Four Canyons Parkway Project

  • 25 Rd. will be closed between Flat Top Lane/Foresight Cir. to Blichmann Ave.

  • F 1/4 Road is closed to through traffic from 25 Rd. to Zenith Lane. Resident access remains open.

  • Two-way traffic on 25 Rd. is open from Patterson Rd. to Flat Top Ln. on a gravel surface.

  • 24 ¾ Rd. Northbound traffic is no longer able to pass through Four Canyons Parkway.

  • 25 Rd. Remains closed between Blichmann Ave. & F ½ Road.

  • Exercise caution when driving through the work zone; follow all posted signs, traffic control devices, and directions from traffic control personnel.

D 1/2 Rd. Capacity Improvements Project

  • D ½ Rd. will be closed between 29 Rd. and 30 Rd. Access will be maintained for local traffic.

  • Access to and from San Juan St. will be closed at the intersection of San Juan St. and D ½ Rd.

  • Detours are in place; access to San Juan is available via 29 ½ Rd. from D Rd.

  • Follow all posted detour signs, traffic control devices, and directions from traffic control personnel.

Non-City Project with Travel Restrictions

  • CDOT - Ute & Pitkin Improvements (I-70B East of Third Street Improvement Project)

  • 5th St. will be reduced to one lane between South Ave. and Colorado Ave.

  • Single-lane closures and shoulder closures will be in effect on Ute Ave. and Pitkin Ave. between 3rd St. and 6th St.

  • 4th St. will be reduced to a single lane between Colorado Ave. and Pitkin Ave.

  • All business and residential access will remain open.

  • Parking and access in alleys will remain open.

  • 23 Road & Broadway Roundabout

  • Alcove Drive will be closed at 23 Rd., with detours via Vista Grande Rd. or Columbine Drive to access 23 Rd.

  • Alcove will remain closed for the duration of the project.

  • The south side of the 23 Road and Broadway intersection will reopen on Tuesday at 9 a.m. Crews have completed storm drainage upgrades in this area.

  • CO 340 will remain two-way traffic with a 35 MPH speed limit in the work zone.

  • Sidewalk access will be maintained. Please stay clear of active work areas.

  • Expect traffic delays.
