On June 27, 2026, at approximately 9:50 p.m., officers responded to the northwest quadrant of Grand Junction, Colorado, for a report of an assault and a woman screaming for help.
Officers arrived on scene to find a crying female and learned that she and a male became involved in a verbal dispute that escalated into physical assault. During the incident, the suspect strangled the female and sexually assaulted her. The suspect left the scene before the arrival of law enforcement. Officers identified the suspect as 46-year-old Jamie Foust, of Grand Junction, and a warrant was issued for his arrest.
On June 30, 2026, officers located Foust in the 2800 block of North Avenue, where he was arrested and booked into the Mesa County Detention Facility on the following charges:
Assault in the Second Degree with Intent to Cause Serious Bodily Injury by Strangulation
Sex Assault – Penetration/Physical Force/Violence
Assault in the Third Degree
Domestic Violence
