At a glance

The OpenGov portal lacks complete 2025 and 2026 financial data due to a software conversion, while the 2027 proposed budget will be reviewed by City Council on October 6, 2026.

**Steamboat Springs, Colorado – October 5, 2026-**The OpenGov transparency portal, which the City of Steamboat Springs utilizes for financial data, does not currently contain complete financial information for 2025 and 2026.

A software conversion that changed the city’s general ledger account structure has affected how financial information is being pulled into the portal, and not all accounts are currently being captured correctly.

For the most accurate budget information for 2025 and 2026, please refer to the city’s adopted budget books. The 2027 proposed budget is currently available online and will be reviewed by City Council during its all-day budget retreat tomorrow, Tuesday, October 6, 2026.

The city is working with OpenGov to remedy the issue and ensure it accurately reflects the city’s financial records. A notice will be placed on the city’s OpenGov webpage about the incomplete data currently being listed.
