Calypso is a sport climbing route located near Telluride on the Colorado Western Slope. The site sits at an elevation of 13,139 feet and features a moderate difficulty rating suitable for climbers with intermediate skills. The route is approximately 35 feet long and consists of a slab section leading to a steep black face. It is protected by four bolts terminating in a chain anchor. First ascent was recorded by Takanori Kondo in July 2020. The climbing area is known as part of "The Black Pearl" and offers parking for visitors. Pets are permitted on site. Access is currently open with restrictions as the land is privately owned by the Idarado Mine, which maintains the access road. Climbers must respect private property boundaries to ensure continued use. The route is typically wet in early summer due to snowmelt and becomes dry by July. Parking is available, and the site operates year-round.
