About

The D3 Devils Canyon Loop is a moderate 4.9-mile hiking trail near Fruita, Colorado, situated within the McInnis Canyons National Conservation Area. The route begins at a main parking lot and follows the D1 trail up a wide gravel road before turning right into a sculpted wash. Hikers traverse slickrock and sandy terrain, crossing a small wooden bridge before the trail climbs a steep but short hill to reach a plateau. The path winds through rolling terrain beneath steep cliffs and rock towers, leading to a historic, unmaintained cabin. From the cabin, the trail descends westward back into the canyon to complete the loop. The trail is open year-round and supports hiking, birding, and horseback riding. Parking is available at the trailhead.
