Night Watchman is a trad climbing route located on the Grand Mesa in Western Colorado, near Grand Junction. The route is rated difficult and measures approximately 13.72 meters in length. The Grand Mesa is a large volcanic basalt plateau, and while the general rock is highly fractured, specific volcanic flow events created thicker, higher-quality basalt walls suitable for climbing. The climbing area sits at an elevation of roughly 7,400 to 10,000 feet, though specific route data lists the elevation at 9,534 feet. Parking is available at the site, and pets are permitted. Access is straightforward from Grand Junction via CO Highway 65 or US Highway 50 to the Palisade Lobe area.
