One loop is typically reserved for group use, while the other two accommodate individual campers. Access is via County Road 858, approximately 18 miles south of U.S. Highway 50 from Montrose. The site offers parking and drinking water. Facilities include picnic tables, campfire rings, and handicap-accessible sites. Visitors must bring their own provisions as there are no nearby communities for supplies. The campground is in bear country, requiring safe food storage practices. Cell service is generally unavailable. Recreation opportunities include access to the Silver Jack Reservoir and a network of trails around Cimarron Ridge. OHV (Off-Highway Vehicle) trails are nearby.
