The Spike Trail is a technical mountain biking route located in the Gunnison Gorge National Conservation Area near Delta, Colorado. It begins off Eagle Road, starting near its junction with the Sidewinder and Eagle Valley trails. Riders follow a wash for a short distance before climbing out onto the mountain. The trail is characterized by steep, technical sections and occasional rocky ledges, which are common in the area due to sandstone erosion. It ends at the Red Rocks/Nighthorse trail on a ridge overlooking the Gunnison Gorge. The trail is rated as difficult or strenuous, requiring skill and fitness.
