About

The Sunset Rocks Cave Spur Trail is a short, easy connector route located in the Gunnison Gorge National Conservation Area east of Olathe, Colorado. It branches off the main Sunset Rocks Trail to provide access to a cave feature. The trailhead is situated in a designated parking lot labeled Sunset Rocks. Access is year-round, though the route leads to a mesa top with uneven terrain. The spur is generally considered stable and suitable for most skill levels. Note that the area is subject to fire conditions, such as the Critical Gold Mountain Fire evacuation orders which have affected the region.
